Uses of the Casodex 50mg Tablets
The uses of Casodex 50mg tablets (bicalutamide) are:

Treatment of Stage D2 metastatic carcinoma of the prostate (advanced prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body).

Used in combination with a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog to block the effects of male hormones (androgens) that stimulate prostate cancer growth.

Sometimes used to reduce tumor flare when starting other hormone therapies for prostate cancer.

How Does Casodex 50mg Tablets Work?

Casodex 50mg tablets block the action of androgens (male-like testosterone) in the body and belong to a class of medicines called anti-androgens that uses to cure prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer cells often need testosterone to grow. Casodex binds to androgen receptors in these cancer cells, preventing testosterone from stimulating their growth.

How Should You Take Casodex 50mg Tablets?

It’s very important to take the tablet at the same time every day for consistency.

Swallow the tablet whole with a drink of water; do not crush or chew it.

Start taking Casodex at the same time as your luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog therapy, or at least 3 days before starting LHRH treatment or surgical castration.

If you miss a dose, then skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Dont take a double dose if you missed one.

Liver Toxicity:
